The BuildMopar Cooperative Car Build voting was a winning design-build based on a 1968 Dodge Dart Hurst Super Stock clone that we dubbed 'The DARTPAK". The model was voted on by thousands of enthusiasts over the course of 6 months, and the final design is now available for purchase, as a Ready-2-Roll 'Racetoration' chassis or completed car.

BuildMopar was a car project concept that the founders of Ready Chassis Race Cars came up with in October of 2020 for the SEMA Road Show. We felt that with all the new 3rd GEN HEMI® based engines and driveline swap options that are out there, that we could help our followers to create a focused plan on how to develop, architect, and build a really great NHRA Certified class-based race car. And more importantly, we will take and compete in the 2021 season in the 8.50 SuperPro class of the Modern Street Hemi Shootout Series.

But, our project was VERY different. How so?

It was different, because YOU the community (and its LOYAL followers), participated in the direction of the ENTIRE project. Everything from the model of the car, the color choice, the HEMI driveline choices - all the way down to the size of the slicks - was nominated by the aftermarket vendors, and then voted on by you, the enthusiasts.

We were very excited to see the blueprint model of this car come together, and now we are excited because we get to build it!

During the project, we teamed up with a local 30 year parts retailer to get the Sheetmetal and parts from their warehouse to rebuild the car. Then we worked with Mopar during the concepting of their Direct Connection catalog concepts to figure out the future of the performance aftermarket. We felt like it was time to showcase what great cars, great parts, and smart motivated people can bring together.

Below were the nomination and the vote stages:

As we completed each phase of our project, we continued to expose our architecture plans, concept drawings, instructions, restoration parts selections, and even videos to help get our audience excited. This way you can be a part of it as much as you want to, and then you can either just follow along and enjoy watching our progress, or duplicate what we are doing that you like.

Now it time that Ready Chassis Racing starts the design process. Stay tuned for content and materials that will help you the enthusiast to understand how we are going to put project DARTPAK together. It's truly where the rubber will meet the road!
